"What we seek, at the deepest level, is inwardly to resemble, rather than physically to possess, the objects and places that touch us through their beauty" - Alain de Botton

At first sight of this beautiful product, I thought for sure my heart would stop beating. TING, a London and Los Angeles based design company, transforms hand-picked vintage leather belts into fabulous floor coverings in the form of square tiles and custom area rugs. TING also produces bags, cushions and panelling, and I imagine their practical and sustainable visions for reusing leather won’t stop at that. I’d venture to guess a floor composed of such loveliness would cost you about a billion dollars, but it’d probably be worth it… (right?)
